Mashed Rutabaga with Onion



1 medium rutabaga
2 Tbsps. butter
2 onions      
½ tsp. salt
¼ tsp. salt
Cook rutabaga and onion in small amount of boiling salted water until tender. Drain. Mash; add butter and seasonings, and beat well. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
Note: Onion may be omitted
