Green-Tomatoes and Cucumber Slices
Slice 2 large green tomatoes about ½ inch thick. Peel
1 large, yellow, ripe, cucumber; slice, and remove seeds. Season. Dip slices in
evaporated milk, then in quick-cooking rolled oats (rub oats between hands to
make them fine). Fry slowly in hot oil until brown and tender Makes 4 servings.
