Supreme Fried Chicken, Spice Mix


Ingredients:
!/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. ground pepper
2 tsp. garlic salt
3 Tbsp. M.S.G. (optional in a health wise diet)
1 Tbsp. celery salt
1 Tbsp. black pepper
1 Tbsp. dry mustard
4 Tbsp. paprika
5 cups plain flour
Dried Bread crumbs
(commercial)
To Use:
Chicken Pieces
(Your choice)
Vegetable Oil
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl, except for bread crumbs, eggs, chicken, and oil.
Put egg in shallow bowl and whip slightly. Put bread crumbs in another shallow pan or bowl.
Now begin to dip the chicken pieces in egg, one at a time, making sure they are well covered in egg.
After you dip a piece of chicken, immediately turn them over in the bread crumbs, making sure they are well covered in the spice mix.
Cooking:
Place the spiced chicken on a lightly oiled roasting pan. Cover the pan with aluminium foil making sure he foil is shiny side out.
Now cook for 40 minutes.\After 40 minutes, remove the foil, and cook for a further 35 minutes. After 35 minutes, lightly baste the chicken pieces with the oil and cook for a further 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes remove the cooked chicken and let stand 5 minutes. Your chicken is now ready to serve. Enjoy!
NOTE
This spice mix can also be used for deep-fried chicken
