(For 10 pound bird)
2 medium onions
1/2 cup butter or margarine
8 cups soft whole wheat bread crumbs
1 cup seedless raisins
1 cup broken walnuts
1 cup diced celery
Few grains pepper
1 Tbsp. poultry seasoning
Hot water or stock
- Cut to small dice, with your French/chef's knife; or grate, onion with a coarse grater. Sauté in butter until soft. Add crumbs. Add rest of ingredients with enough hot water or stock to make it fairly moist.
