4 (1-pound) Rock Cornish Hens
8 ounces, suitable stuffing
1 Tbsp. sage or poultry seasoning
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced onion
1 can consommé less 1/4 cup (1/4 cup for glaze)
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/4 cup corn syrup
- Mix stuffing,sage onion,and celery.. To the consommé (less 1/4 cup) add 1/4 cup butter and heat. Add to the stuffing and toss. Stuff hens if desired. Bake remaining stuffing in foil package.
- Place birds, breast up on rack in shallow roasting pan. Roast deg. 400F., for 1 hour, or until leg rotates easily in joint.
- Baste during last 15 minutes of cooking with 1/4 cup consommé mixed with 1/4 cup corn syrup. Makes 4 servings.
