Braised Pork Steaks with Grape Apples

Ingredients:
2 lbs pork shoulder steaks        Salt and pepper
2 Tbsps. flour                            3 large apples
2 Tbsps. fat                               1/2 glass grape jelly
                                                3/4 cup boiling water
Method
 Dredge pork shoulder steaks in flour and brown in hot fat. Season with salt and pepper. Add 1/4 cup water, cover casserole tightly, and cook very slowly until tender, about 45 minutes. Pare apples, core and cut into halves. Dissolve grape jelly in boiling water, add apples, and cook until tender. Serve around pork steaks. Serves 4.
